Aims & Scope
Science and Technology of Kazakhstan
Aims
Science and Technology of Kazakhstan is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal published in the Republic of Kazakhstan by Non-commercial Joint Stock Company «Toraighyrov University». The journal is dedicated to advancing engineering sciences by publishing high-quality, original research, comprehensive reviews, and technical communications that address contemporary challenges in industry, academia, and society.
The primary aim of the journal is to serve as a premier global platform for researchers, engineers, and academics from around the world to exchange innovative scientific ideas, engineering solutions, and technological advancements. The journal emphasizes rigorous peer review, research integrity, and the practical and industrial relevance of published works, bridging fundamental scientific discoveries with applied engineering practices.
Scope
The journal covers a broad spectrum of theoretical, experimental, and applied research across three core engineering domains and their interdisciplinary intersections:
-
Metallurgy
- Extraction, refining, and processing of metals and alloys
- Advanced and functional materials, composites, and nanomaterials
- Phase transformations, microstructural analysis, and material behavior under thermal and mechanical loads
- Surface engineering, coating technologies, and corrosion protection
- Resource-efficient, green, and sustainable metallurgical technologies
- Processing, recycling, and integrated utilization of industrial waste with the extraction of valuable components and the production of secondary raw materials.
-
Mechanical Engineering
- Design, optimization, and modernization of mechanical systems, equipment, and tooling
- Advanced manufacturing processes (machining, forming, casting, welding, and additive manufacturing)
- Numerical modeling, finite element analysis (FEA), and computer-aided engineering (CAE/CAD) in mechanical design
- Industrial automation, robotics, measurement, and quality control systems
- Reliability, durability, and operational safety of machines and mechanisms
-
Transport Engineering and Logistics
- Design, testing, and operational performance of transport vehicles, mobile machinery, and heavy equipment (including mining and industrial transport)
- Transport systems efficiency, traffic management, and modern logistics infrastructure
- Alternative energy sources, fuel efficiency, and ecological safety in transport
- Maintenance, diagnostics, and lifecycle management of transport systems
The journal welcomes interdisciplinary manuscripts that combine elements from these core areas, as well as contributions demonstrating high novelty, scientific rigor, and clear international significance.
